Recently We lost our Son Andrew, We got in touch with Raymond Massey to discuss funeral arrangements, there we met Kerry Swan, a lovely Lady who helped my Wife and I choose how we wanted our Son to be buried. She handled everything with care and compassion as we were very upset, nothing was too much trouble. She also supervised the viewing of our Son in their Chapel of Rest with great care and understanding of how we would feel. When we were leaving she hugged us both. She rang to check on us several times later to see if we were ok.The whole process was handled in a very satisfactory way.
This Lady is an asset to her profession and we would recommend anyone to Massey & Son Funeral Directors.

The service received from Amy was very good and the family have no complaints at all. Raymond Massey is part of a group of funeral directors and is the service received from others in the group that let them down.
When we first contacted Raymond Massey & Son it was out of normal office hours so not unreasonably the call was dealt with by a central office, this was not a problem other than we were seriously mislead by them. We told our mother would be taken to chapel of rest in Stockport overnight before being brought back to Dukinfield the following day to which we agreed. I was disappointed to learn when I spoke to Amy this was not the case. Mum would be kept at Stockport until nearer the date of the funeral and only brought to local office if we wished to see her before the funeral. I was not happy about this, but I could nothing about it at this time. Amy apologised and gave us confidence everything would be ok from this point. To be fair the family was happy with the service we received from Amy at Raymond Massey.
Unfortunately, before the funeral Amy went off sick and Anthony from Elizabeth Way took over whist nothing major went wrong, it took numerous attempts to get the order of service right, something so simple took far too many attempts. Even during the funeral, he was wanting to check details. We wanted donations instead of flowers and he got the charity completely wrong. We were very satisfied with all other staff on the day, they were friendly but professional.

Amy and the team were amazing from our initial meeting right through to the day of the funeral, and queries afterwards too. They helped make our very sad day a very personable and special one, and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you so much xxxx

Amy and Sam - usually when writing a review its easy, but this is the hardest one ever- you and your team were brilliant taking care of my Son Stephen. As a family we had never ever had to deal with a funeral and we had no idea what to do, you put us at so much ease, making what seemed to be so complicated easy and stress free. The total professionalism of Raymond Massey was outstanding, and I can't thank you enough for everything you did to make my sons send off special.

Excellent service from the 1st minute of contact. Was such a difficult time for my family and Amy was caring , compassionate and very professional. Everything was explained clearly and excellent advice throughout. On the day, Sam and his collegues were the perfect team to help us through this. I have no hesitation in recommending this company 100%.

Truly professional and compassionate at what is a difficult time. The current COVID situation doesn't help, but the whole team managed everything perfectly. I had everything explained throughout the process and was given advise to help me make decisions. Thank you Amy for your help with everything!
Even on the day I decided I wanted some flowers from my Dads display to lay at the plaque for my Mum. I only thought about it whilst entering the crematorium grounds, but I spoke to Sam before the service and he sorted it straight after. It's the little things!
