We’re also available 24 hours a day on the phone so if you need anything please don’t hesitate to call your local funeral home.

    Meet the Team

    Raymond Massey

    Founder

After working in the business established by my grandfather in 1903 for almost 25 years, I branched out on my own in Dukinfield in 1987.
In the early 1900’s funeral directors were also master cabinet makers and French polishers, making and polishing all their own coffins. I served my apprenticeship working in these traditional craft industries with my father.
I have always lived in Tameside, was bought up in Hyde and moved to Dukinfield after my marriage in 1973. We moved, with our family, to Stalybridge in 1987 and after 30 years have recently moved back to Dukinfield in 2017 following my retirement. to a bungalow more suited to our needs.
Our children have also grown up in the area and I am delighted that Amy joined the business straight from school.

    Amy Massey

    Funeral Arranger

Amy joined Raymond Massey & Son Funeral Directors in 1998 after attending sixth form college and has been enjoying her role ever since.
She lives in Dukinfield with her partner Paul and beautiful daughter Evie.
